Prayer focus:  Egypt,

Bible Reading:  Psalms 97-99

Scripture –  Sing to the Lord a new song,  for he has done marvelous things;
his right hand and his holy arm  have worked salvation for him.   The Lord has made his salvation known  and revealed his righteousness to the nations.  Psalm 98 :1-2

Let the sea resound, and everything in it,  the world, and all who live in it.  Let the rivers clap their hands,  let the mountains sing together for joy;  let them sing before the Lord,  for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.  Psalm 98: 7-9

Observation –  These 3 Psalms talk of the awesome power and majesty of the Lord.  But especially strong is the Psalm 98 that outlines the Road to Salvation and the righteousness of the Lord.  Verses 7-9 reminded me of  Luke 19: 38-40, when Jesus tells the Pharisees that if his disciples remain silent, “.. the stones will cry out…”

Application – Verse 7 speaks to all of God’s creation, everything he created, praising him.  I always thought of the sea, the rivers, and the mountains as not being alive.  I think this is a snap shot of what praising the Lord will be when the time of Revelation does come.  “Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess , that Jesus Christ is Lord…”       And all creation will bow at His feet…

Prayer – Dear Lord,  Let me praise you and shout your name, for you are the Savior, Immanuel, the Deliverer of All, Let my tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of All.  Let me hear the sea, the rivers and the mountains, and every creation made by Him sing to the Lord a New Song, for he has done marvelous things.
