Bible Reading: Psalms 131; 138-139; 143-145

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body;  all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. (Psalm 139:13-16)

This is why I am pro life!

God knows me better than I know myself.

Awesome God, I cannot begin to express myself any better than David did in this remarkable psalm, perhaps my favorite chapter in the Bible. Human life is nothing short of miraculous. When I experienced the birth of our three children it was absolutely incredible. Scientists continue to discover new things about the complexity of life, something far beyond an accident. I take great comfort in knowing that “all of the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.” Thank You for the precious gift of life—mine, my wife’s, our kids’, and all human life. Thank You, also for the life of Jesus in whose Name I pray, amen.
